Club Activities, Benefits and Expectations
CLUB ACTIVITIES
The Huntsville Kiwanis Club has a long standing tradition of service to not only the children of Huntsville and Madison County,
but to our community and its residents in general. Besides sponsoring various youth programs and lending assistance to those in need,
our club sponsors several programs throughout the year. Following are a few of the activities and programs sponsored by our club:
- Annual Installation and Awards Banquet
- Terrific Kids Recognition Program at Watson Primary School
- Provide volunteers for the county Mass flu Clinic and the Kindergarten Health Screening, vaccinations, and physicals for Huntsville Primary School
- Provide volunteers for the Intermediate School “Body Walk”
- Annual Thanksgiving and Mother’s Day Dinners
- Kiwanis Kids Day at the Huntsville Rodeo
- Sponsor HHS Key Club
- Governor’s Annual Banquet and Program
- Earl Collins Scholarship Foundation
- Award local scholarships each year
- Help sponsor various programs and youth groups throughout the year to assist the young people of our community in their endeavors, such as, HHS cross country, HHS Shooting team, 4-H, etc.
- Donation of school supplies to needy children
- Co-Sponsor of the Annual Christmas shopping spree for children at Wal-Mart
- Assist the Salvation Army in their fund raising endeavors
- Provide leadership training for members and assist them in Kiwanis family leadership conferences and District Conventions
- Kiwanis annual fruit sales
- Support the local Chamber of Commerce,the Madison County Health Coalition, and Madison County Library
- Sponsorship of District Walk/Run For Arkansas Children’s Hospital
- Donate Kids cartoon band-aids to Madison County Health Unit to assist in Kids vaccination program

EXPECTATIONS
- Attend weekly meetings of the club—try to be 100% - Make-ups are available (see below)
- Pay your dues on time - $90 per year - Due on March 1st
- Participate in club activities and programs
- Select a committee to work on!
- Support our fundraising projects
- Assist in service projects
- Strive to have 100% attendance by the end of the year.
- Attendance can be achieved by not only attending weekly meetings, but by participating in one of our many projects, attending Board meetings, attending an official Kiwanis function, or by an inter-club.
