Club Meetings Kiwanis Name
The name “Kiwanis” means “we trade” or “we share our talents.” It was coined from an American Indian expression, Nunc Kee-wanis.
Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry,
mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more.
No problem is too big or too small. Why? Because working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen!As Kiwanis clubs and members, we see it everyday!
Membership
Our Club Meetings
Our club meets every Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. at the Crossbow Restaurant, 479-738-2422. The Crossbow is located on U.S. 412B or Parrott Dr. in Huntsville. If you take the first exit on U.S 412 coming to Huntsville from the west, you will go downtown. After leaving the public square, turn left after passing the Sonic Drive-in and the Crossbow will be about 1/2 mile on your left. You may travel on eastward on U.S. 412 and take the second exit, Highway 23 into Huntsville. Once you enter the city limits, the Crossbow is about 1/4 mile on your right. Our Board of Directors meet on the first Thursday of each month and we normally do not have a program that day. The club meets in the north dining room. A private entrance is located on the north side of the restaurant. Breakfast is ordered from the menu and members and guests pay at the end of the meal. Upcoming ProgramsSeptember |
